People don’t understand that recklessly eating carbs can be detrimental to your diet. In fact, not regulating your carbs can lead to the crazy insulin cycle.
Eating too many carbs is bad because it leads eventually to an insulin resistance. Insulin resistance leads to insulinemia that makes the pancreas secrete even more insulin than normal from the carbs we eat. This then causes us to eat more carbs because we aren’t feeling the satiety effects of the insulin or replenishing glycogen and energy substrates like we should with normal carb intake.
So, eating too many carbs is bad because it causes our body to resist the effects those carbs should have and then we eat more to get the same effects which leads to a greater problem and the cycle goes on. So, eating carbs is good, but we must regulate them so we don’t get into the crazy insulin cycle from too high of a carb diet.
